Samsung foldable phone will become tablet on unfolded -Samsung’s CEO Confirmed
Last month, the Samsung’s mobile division CEO Mr. Koh Dong Jin was confirmed the announcement of the first foldable smartphone this year. Now we get the latest report through the current statement of Samsung CEO that the users have the option to use it as a foldable phone and also as a tablet and in this way the users will get the experience of both the devices in one package . He also added that it will come with multitasking feature.
This is all revealed in an interview at the occasion of the announcement of Samsung Galaxy A9 recently. In his words-“When we deliver a foldable phone, it has to be really meaningful to our customer,” Koh said .”If the user experience is not up to my standard, I don’t want to deliver those kind of products.” He mentioned it as a “gimmick product” that will “disappear after six to nine months after it’s delivered.” and also looks positive on its globally launching.
The CEO also added -“Possibly when we start selling the foldable phone, it may be a niche market, but definitely, it will expand,” Koh said. “I’m positive that we do need a foldable phone.” The upcoming foldable smartphone will be introduced as Samsung’s Developer Conference and he also shows the certainty on its launching this year.
We have no details related to its specifications , but there is expectation that it will have a display of more than 6.5 inch,as the CEO Koh hints.
We recall that one more tech giant Huawei is also in the race of introducing the foldable smartphone and works hard to announce the first foldable smartphone with 5G connectivity in November this year.
We have to watch who will introduce the foldable smarphone ,as we are approaching the last month of this year and it will be crucial for both the companies and interesting to see the true winner of this race.
