Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S with wireless charging will be announced in Shanghai on March 27

As we have already published that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will be announced on 27^th March, but at that time the venue of its announcement was not confirmed. Now we have the latest information through an official teaser via its Weibo account that it will announced on the similar date in Shanghai. Except this, we have no information related to its specifications.

UPDATE: According to the latest teaser via the Weibo, the upcoming smartphone Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will come with wireless charging feature and hence it will be the first Xiaomi device to get such improvement.

The device Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will sport 5.99” screen with 18:9 ratio and Full HD+ resolution. It will come with a facial recognition sensor, 8GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 256GB. It will be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC chipset and will run on Android Oreo.

The camera section of the device will include a rear camera of 12 MP (f/2.0, 1/2.9″, 1.25 µm), phase detection autofocus, 4-axis OIS, dual-LED dual-tone flash and a front-facing camera of 8MP with f/2.0 aperture. It will be powered by 3400mAh battery.

Its predecessor Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features 5.99-inch (2160 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 display with 1500:1 contrast ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut, 8GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 256GB.

It is armed with 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 64-bit 10nm processor with Adreno 540 GPU and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with MIUI 9. It has dual-SIM functionality.

The camera section of the device Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will feature a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, 4-axis OIS, 4K video recording and a front-facing camera of 5MP with facial recognition, 1080p video recording.
It has the dimension of 151.8x 75.5 ×7.7 mm and weighs 185g (Standard); also its special edition comes with the dimension of 150.5x 74.6 ×7.7 mm and weighs 187g.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C. It is powered by 3400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.
