Nokia 5.1 with 16MP rear camera announced at 189 Euros ($ 218 )

The HMD Global announced its latest affordable smartphone Nokia 5.1 at at 189 Euros (US$ 218 / Rs. 14,795 approx.). It is the successor of the Nokia 5 which was launched in India in June last year at Rs. 12899.

The smartphone Nokia 5.1 has a unibody design with 6000 series aluminium and sports 5.5-inch ( 1080×2160 pixels) FHD+ 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection . It has 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory / 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage capacity , which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot. It has dual-SIM functionality, dimension of 151.1 x 70.73 x 8.27 mm and also has a fingerprint sensor .

It is armed with 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P18 (MT6755S) processor and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) OS, upgradable to Android P.
The camera section of the device Nokia 5.1 includes a rear camera of 16MP with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and a front-facing camera of 8MP with f/2.0 aperture,84-degree wide-angle lens .
Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and supports 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio. It is backed up by  a 3000mAh battery .

The users have the option to get the smartphone  Nokia 5.1 in Copper, Tempered Blue and Black colors and the company will make it available in global market from July this year.

The predecessor Nokia 5 sports 5.2-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD 2.5D with Corning Gorilla Glass display, 500 nits brightness .It has 2GBGB RAM, 16GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD.
It is powered by 1.4 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 chipset with Adreno 505 GPU and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). It has Dual-SIM functionality and comes with dimension of 149.7 x 72.5 x 8.05 mm.
The device Nokia 5 has  a 13MP autofocus rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel size and autofocus  front-facing camera of  8MP autofocus , f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, 84-degree wide-angle lens.
Connectivity wise , it features 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and also supports 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio. It is powered by 3000mAh battery.
