Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with 6GB RAM, 5500mAh battery, dual rear cameras announced in China
Recently, the Xiaomi CEO had confirmed the announcement of its latest smartphone Xiaomi Mi Max 3 on 19th July and now the Chinese users got it. It is the successor of Xiaomi Mi Max 2 that was announced in China in May last year.
The phablet Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with metallic back sports 6.9-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1500:1 contrast ratio. It has 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB (eMMC 5.1) storage, 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (eMMC 5.1) storage. It has the dimension of 176.15×87.4×7.99mm; weighs 221g and has dual-SIM functionality.
It is armed with 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm processor with Adreno 509 GPU and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI on top.
The camera section of the device Xiaomi Mi Max 3 includes dual 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4µm pixel size, f/1.9 aperture, Dual PD focus, LED flash, 5MP secondary rear camera and a front-facing camera of 8MP with soft LED flash, 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture and also has face unlock support . It also comes with the AI features for the camera that can detect 206 scenes, and also features AI voice assistant.
Connectivity wise, it features Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C , a fingerprint sensor on its back and also includes an infrared sensor. It supports 3.5mm audio jack . It is backed up by a massive 5500mAh battery with support from Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging and also supported by parallel charging.
The users have the option to get the phablet Xiaomi Mi Max 3 in Meteorite Black, Dream Gold and Dark Blue colors.
The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs 1699 yuan (US$ 252 / Rs.17,320 approx.) , while the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 1999 yuan (US$ 296 / Rs. 20,375 approx.).The smartphone company will make it available in China from 20th July.
It’s predecessor phablet Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes with full metallic unibody design with rounded edges and sports 6.44-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 4GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB storage, which can be expandable via microSD card slot. It is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU and runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). It has Hybrid Dual SIM functionality. The phablet comes with the dimension of 174.1×88.7×7.6mm and weighs 211g. . It has dual stereo speakers, one embedded into the earpiece and other on the bottom. It houses a fingerprint sensor on it’s back.

Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and it is backed up by 5300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and also supports 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers. It has dual charging module that offers better heat dispersion.
