Nokia 8.1 with Android 9.0 Pie, Dual rear cameras with ZEISS optics announced at 399 Euros (US$ 452)
The HMD Global finally announced its latest smartphone Nokia 8.1 at its fixed schedule as stated recently. It is the re-brand or you can say that it is the global version of Nokia X7 that was announced in October. It is the successor of the Nokia 7.1 that was announced in October this year.
There is also expectation that Nokia 8.1 will be launched in Indian market on 10th December.
The smartphone Nokia 8.1 with glass back sports 6.18-inch Full HD+ Puredisplay with 18.7:9 aspect ratio with the resolution of 2246 × 1080 pixels. It has 4GB (LPPDDR4x) RAM with 64GB (eMMC 5.1) storage capacity, which can be further expandable up to 400GB via microSD card slot. It has hybrid dual-SIM functionality, dimension of 154.8×75.76×7.97mm; and weighs 178g. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
It is armed with Octa Core Snapdragon 710 10nm processor (Dual 2.2GHz Kryo 360 + Hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 360 CPUs) with Adreno 616 GPU and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie).
The camera section of the device Nokia 8.1 includes dual 12MP rear camera with ZEISS optics , dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4μm pixels, OIS, 13MP secondary rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a front-facing camera of 20MP with f/2.0 aperture .
Connectivity wise, it features Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and also supports 3.5mm audio jack, Nokia OZO Stereo Audio recording. It is backed up by 3500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
The users can get the device Nokia 8.1 in Blue/Silver, Steel/Copper, Iron/Steel colors at 399 Euros (US$ 452 / Rs. 31,900 approx.). While, the company will make it available from 15th December in UAE at 1,499 Dirham (US$ 408 / Rs. 28,805 approx.).
