LG G8 ThinQ and LG G8s ThinQ with triple rear cameras, 3D face unlock announced

The smartphone manufacturer announced the flagship smartphone LG G8 ThinQ along with LG G8s ThinQ at MWC, 2019 event.

The smartphone LG G8 ThinQ sports 6.1-inch FullVision OLED Display with the resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, internal storage capacity of 128GB (UFS 2.1), which can be expandable up to 2TB via microSD card slot. It has the dimension of 151.9 x 71.8 x 8.4mm; and  weighs 167g. It has Fingerprint sensor, 3D face unlock functionality.
It has water and dust resistant body with IP68 ratings and also received MIL-STD 810G Certification, which makes it to survive from the fall over 8 feet onto a rough concrete surface with no damage to the case or phone.
It is armed with Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm processor with Adreno 640 GPU and runs on Android Android 9.0 (Pie).

The camera section of the device LG G8 ThinQ includes triple rear cameras including 12MP rear camera with f/1.5 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, 78° lens, 16MP super wide camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 107° lens, 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom , f/2.4 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 45° lens, LED flash and a front-facing cameras of 8MP with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22μm pixel size, 80° lens, 3D ToF sensor.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible) and supports 3.5mm audio jack, 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC, DTS: X 3D Surround Sound.
It is backed up by 3,500mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
Also the other smartphone LG G8s ThinQ sports 6.2-inch 19.5:9 FHD+ FullVision OLED Display with the resolution of 2248 x 1080 pixels. It has 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, internal storage capacity of 64GB / 128GB (UFS 2.1) , which can be expandable up to 2TB via microSD card slot. It has the dimension of 151.9 x 71.8 x 8.4mm; and weighs 167g.
The device also offers high-grade security with Hand ID and Face Unlock functionality.
Its Hand ID security works by identifying the users by recognizing the shape, thickness and other characteristics of their veins in the palms of their hands to unlock the phone.

The camera section of the device LG G8s ThinQ has triple rear cameras including 12MP rear camera with f/1.5 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, 78° lens, 13MP super wide camera, 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom , f/2.4 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 45° lens, LED flash and a front-facing cameras of 8MP with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22μm pixel size, 80° lens, 3D ToF sensor.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible) and supports 3.5mm audio jack, Stereo speakers. It is backed up by 3550mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

The users can get the smartphone LG G8 ThinQ in Carmine Red, New Aurora Black and New Moroccan Blue colors and the company will make it available from anytime in March. The cost of the device is still not declared.
