LG Folder 2 flip phone with SOS key, AI Voice Service announced
A latest flip phone from the LG’s camp namely LG Folder 2 announced in Korea at 198,000 won (US$ 162 / Rs. 12,405 approx.).
The LG Folder 2 flip phone sports 2.8-inch (320 x 240 pixels) QVGA LCD screen and it becomes 0.9-inch mono front screen after after flip opening. It has 1GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 8GB , which can be further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot. It has the dimension of 107.9x55x18mm; weighs 127g.
It is armed with 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor with Adreno 304 GPU and runs on Android (the version hasn’t declared yet).
The flip phone features both SOS Key and Hotkey buttons. The SOS Key is placed at the rear section along with the 2MP primary camera and it lets the users to call a pre-registered number by pressing it three times within 1.5 seconds very quickly and it also shows the users location with the number through a text message.
While the Hotkey is situated on the front just above the call button and lets the users to summon AI voice service or start the call recording function. For avoiding unintentional data charge, it comes with data security feature.
The AI voice service recognizes and answers the voice when the user presses the hotkey button and asks questions from AI for weather, date, time, and more.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and supports FM Radio, SOS key. It is packed up by a 1470mAh battery.
The users can get the flip phone LG Folder 2 in New Platinum Grey and White colors and the company will make it available from 17th April in South Korea.
