HTC U12+ with 6GB RAM, dual front and rear cameras announced

A number of rumors and reports finally stopped after the announcement of  the flagship smartphone HTC U12+ with  the water and dust resistance body ( IP68 ratings) . It is the successor of the HTC U11+ that was launched in November last year.

The smartphone  HTC U12+ sports 6-inch (2880 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ Super LCD 6 display with HDR10, DCI-P3 and sRGB support, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection .  It has 6GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 64GB / 128GB (UFS 2.1), which can be further expandable up to 2TB with microSD  card slot. It has Single / Hybrid Dual SIM functionality, dimension of 156.6×73.9×8.7-9.7mm and weighs 188g. The device comes with fingerprint sensor.
It is armed with Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with HTC Sense UI.

The camera section of the smartphone HTC U12+ includes 12MP HTC UltraPixel 4 rear camera with 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.75 aperture, dual LED flash, PDAF, Laser auto focus, OIS, secondary 16MP telephoto lens with 1.0μm pixel size, f/2.6 aperture, 4k at 60 fps, 240fps slo-mo at 1080p and dual-front facing cameras of 8MP + 8MP with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture Real-time bokeh effects, AR stickers .
It also features USB-C audio, HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition, Hi-Res audio certified.
Connectivity wise, it includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C. It is powered by 3500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.

The users have the option to get the device HTC U12+ in Translucent Blue, Ceramic Black and Flame Red colors. The pre-order of the device is going on in the US and Europe at the cost of $799 (Rs. 54,630 approx.) for the 64GB storage version and its 128GB storage version is priced at $849 (Rs. 58, 050 approx.). The company will make it available from last of this month or earlier of next month.

The predecessor HTC U11+ comes with 6-inch (2880 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ Super LCD 6 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 2TB with microSD. It is armed with 2.45GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC Sense U.I. It has nano-SIM functionality, dimension of 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5mm and weighs 188g.

It has a 12MP UltraPixel 3 rear camera with Dual LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF),BSI sensor, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, 1.4μm pixel, 4K video recording, 3D Audio and an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor, 85° field of view, 1080p video recording. It features fingerprint sensor and has Water and dust resistant (IP68) body.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5GHz), NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 and it is powered by 3930mAh built-in battery with QuickCharge 3.0.
