Huawei Honor WaterPlay 8 tablet with dual rear cameras, 5100mAh battery announced, Price starts at 1499 yuan (US$ 217)
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor announced its latest tablet Honor WaterPlay 8 . It is the successor of the Honor WaterPlay LTE tablet that was launched in October 2017.
The Huawei Honor WaterPlay 8 tablet has Water and dust resistant body with IP67 ratings sports 8-inch WXGA display with a resolution of 1200 pixels by 1920 pixels. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB /128GB internal storage capacity , which can be expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. It has the dimension of 248 × 173 × 7.8mm; and weighs 465g.
It has face unlock and a fingerprint sensor on its home button. It comes with stereo speakers with Huawei Histen 5.0 3D audio technology.
It is armed with Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor (4 xA53 at 2.36GHz + 4 x A53 at 1.7GHz) with MaliT830-MP2 GPU and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 5.1.
The camera section of the tablet Huawei Honor WaterPlay 8 includes dual rear camera of 13MP with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture and a front-facing camera of 8MP with f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G LTE (Optional), WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, USB Type-C and supports 3.5mm audio jack, Huawei Histen 3D audio. It is backed up by 5100mAh battery with support for 9V-2A fast charging .
The users can get the tablet Huawei Honor WaterPlay 8 in Gold and Silver colors. The 64GB WiFi version costs 1499 yuan (US$ 217 / Rs. 15,899 approx.) , while the 128GB WiFi version and the 64GB 4G LTE version is priced at 1799 yuan (US$ 261 / Rs. 19,080 approx.). The company has made it available from today.
