Samsung Galaxy Fold Foldable smartphone set to launch in India on 7th May
After the announcement of Samsung Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone in February this year, now a latest report confirms its launching in the Indian market on 7th May. There is also expectation that the device Samsung Galaxy A80 will also be launched around the same time. Since, the Galaxy A80 has already been announced recently.
For your information, the launching of Samsung Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone and Samsung Galaxy A80 in Indian was already confirmed by DJ Koh, President, and CEO of Samsung and also confirmed by Samsung India CMO and SVP, Ranjivjit Singh respectively in recent days.
As we know the foldable smartphone Samsung Galaxy Fold sports 7.3-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED as main display with 4.2:3 aspect ratio and 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED as cover display with 21:9 aspect ratio. It has 12GB LPDDR4x RAM, internal storage capacity of 512GB (UFS 2.1). It has a Side-mounted Fingerprint Sensor.
It is armed with Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm processor with Adreno 640 GPU and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie).
The camera section of the foldable smartphone Samsung Galaxy Fold includes a total of six cameras such as triple rear cameras and dual front cameras and a 10-megapixel camera for the front cover display.

Connectivity wise, it features 5G Sub6 / mmWave (28G, 39G), 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 4×4 MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS with GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, MST and supports Stereo speakers tuned by AKG, Dolby Atmos.
It is backed up by two batteries with the sum of 4,380mAh battery with fast Charging both on wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) charging.
It has the latest User experience (UX) design which provides several features to the users such as App Continuity , which will automatically show up the section which the users leave after set on of set off the device. It also has the Multi-Active Window, which offers the users to open up to three active apps simultaneously on the main display so that they can do more applications including surfing , text, work, watch and share anything without facing any problem.
The Indian users can get the Samsung Galaxy Fold in Space Silver, Cosmos Black, Martian Green, and Astro Blue colors.
As the pre-order of the foldable smartphone is going on in USA at US$ 1,980 (Rs. 1,40,760 approx.) for the 5G version. So, the cost of the smartphone is likely to be same for the Indian market and also the users will have the option to get its 4G version after its arrival.
