HTC U likely to come with IP57 certification, dual-SIM version, without 3.5mm jack
Few hours ago, the reliable tipster evleaks@ revealed the first image of the upcoming smartphone HTC U codenamed Ocean. The leaked design of the device showed the reflective glass back and a curved glass on its front along with a fingerprint sensor just below the display. Now some more leaked information related to the device HTC U hit the web that the device will come with IP57 rating, which will make the device dust-proof and fearless of water up to depth of 1m of water for up to 30 minutes. It will be definitely the latest improvement compared to the earlier HTC flagship devices. The device will also feature both single-SIM and dual-SIM versions depending on the demand of different markets .Also it is likely that the company will detach the 3.mm headset jack from the device, which will definitely a shock for HTC lovers.
According to the latest rumor, the upcoming device HTC U will sport a 5.5-inch QHD touchscreen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU and it will run on Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense 9. 64 .The smartphone will include 4GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 64/128GB ,which can be further expandable up to 2TB with microSD card slot.
The camera section of the device will include a rear camera of 12MP with dual-tone LED flash, IMX362 sensor, OIS, 4K video recording and a front-facing camera of 16MP with Sony IMX351 sensor.
Connectivity wise, it will feature 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C.
The date of its announcement is still unknown, but it is expected that the company will announce it at the end of this month and will make it available globally early of May, 2017.
