Vivo X21 with dual rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor announced
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo announced its latest high-end smartphone Vivo X21 and adds one more member in its ‘X Series’. It is the successor of the Vivo X20 that was launched in September 2017.
The smaetphone Vivo X21 sports 6.28-inch (2280 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19:9 Super AMOLED display. It has 6B RAM, internal storage capacity of 64GB / 128GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot. It is armed with Octa Core Snapdragon 660 14nm chipset with Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 processor with Adreno 512 GPU and runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo). It has Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD) functionality. It has the dimension of 154.45 × 74.78 × 7.37mm, weighs 156.2g and features Fingerprint / In-display Fingerprint sensor.
The camera section of the device Vivo X21 includes dual rear cameras with a 12MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, secondary 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture with Samsung 2L9 sensor with Dual Pixel technology and a front-facing camera of 12MP with f/2.0 aperture. It has AI scene recognition that can automatically detect 17 scenes and the 12-megapixel front camera has AI beauty recognition for a perfect selfie and can output 24-megapixel resolution images.
Since, its AI helps the camera to detect the subject in the camera frame (landscape, food, fireworks etc.) and accordingly adjust the settings for the best possible image. AI can also identify facial features and automatically enhance them for a superior portrait.
Connectivity wise, it features 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and also supports 3.5mm audio jack, AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip. It is powered by 3200mAh battery with fast charging.
The users have the option to get the device Vivo X21 in Black, Aurora White and Ruby Red colors. Its 6GB RAM with 64GB storage costs 2898 Yuan (US$ 457 / Rs. 29,870 approx.), while the another version 6GB RAM with 128GB storage with in-display fingerprint sensor priced at 3198 Yuan (US$ 505 / Rs. 32,960 approx.) .
The standard version 6GB RAM with 64GB storage will be available from 24th March and the RAM with 128GB storage with in-display fingerprint sensor will be available from 28th March.
Its predecessor Vivo X20 comes with a 6.01-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels. It has 4GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 64GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. It is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor and runs on Android 7.1. It has the dimension of 155.85 x 75.15 x 7.20mm and weighs 159.00 grams. It has dual-SIM functionality.
The Vivo X20 has rear as well as a front-facing camera of 12MP. It is powered by a 3245mAh non removable battery.
Connectivity wise, it features Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3G and 4G including Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
