Xiaomi Mi 8 , Mi 8 SE , Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Xiaomi Mi Band announced in China
Xiaomi finally announced a series of devices namely Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE , Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Xiaomi Mi Band at an event in China on the occasion of its eighth anniversary, as it had stated earlier.
The smartphone Xiaomi Mi 8 It has a glass back with four curved glass body with 7 series aluminum frame and sports a 6.21-inch touchscreen AMOLED Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2248 pixels at 402 PPI, and 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It has 6GB RAM, internal storage capacity of 64GB / 128GB / 256GB (UFS 2.1) . It has the dimension of 154.90 x 74.80 x 7.60mm and weighs 175.00 grams. It has dual-SIM functionality.
It is powered by 2.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 845 64-bit 10nm processor with Adreno 630 GPU and runs on Android Oreo . It has a face unlock and a fingerprint sensor on its back .
The camera section of the device Xiaomi Mi 8 includes dual rear camera of 12MP with 26mm wide-angle lens, 1/2.6″ Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, dual-tone LED flash, 4-axis OIS, Optical zoom, 4K video recording, secondary 12MP rear camera with Samsung S5K3M3 sensor, f/2.4 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, 2X zoom and a front-facing camera of 20MP with real-time AI portraits.
Connectivity wise, it features Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, Dual-frequency (L1+L5) GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C. The Xiaomi Mi 8 is powered by a 3400mAh with support for Quick Charge 4+ .
The device Xiaomi Mi 8 will be available in Black, Blue, Gold and White colors. The users have the option to get the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version at 2699 yuan (US$ 421 / Rs. 28,460 approx.) , while the 128GB version costs 2999 yuan (US$ 468 / Rs. 31,620 approx.) and 256GB storage versions is priced at for 3299 yuan (US$ 512 / Rs. 34,785.
The other smartphone Xiaomi Mi 8 SE sports 5.88-inch (2244×1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18.7:9 AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display. It has 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, 64GB (eMMC 5.1) internal storage capacity. It has dual-SIM functioality, dimension of 147.28×73.09 x7.5; and weighs 164g . It has a fingerprint sensor on its back.
It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 710 10nm processor (Dual 2.2GHz Kryo 360 + Hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 360 CPUs) with Adreno 616 GPU and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9, upgradable to MIUI 10.
The camera section of the device Xiaomi Mi 6SE features a rear camera of 12MP with LED flash, 1.4μm pixel size, Dual PD, f/1.9 aperture, EIS, 5MP secondary camera with 1.12um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture and a front-facing camera of 20MP.
Connectivity wise, it includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO , Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and supports USB Type-C Audio . It is backed up by a 3120mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
It will be available in Black, Blue, Red and Gold colors . The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage capacity costs 1799 yuan (US$ 280 / Rs. 18,960 approx.) and the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version is priced at 1999 yuan (US$ 312 / Rs. 21,070 approx.). The company will make it available in Chinese market from 8th June.
The third smartphone Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition has a transparent glass panel and comes with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080 x 2248 resolution , has Corning Gorilla glass protection, 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It has 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB (UFS 2.1) storage capacity. It has the dimension of 154.9 x 74.8 x 7.6 mm and weighs 177 g .
It is powered by Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 chipset with Octa-core (4×2.8 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) with Adreno 630 GPU and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9, upgradable to MIUI 10 . Since , it has no microSD card slot for further expansion. It has a pressure-sensitive in-display fingerprint sensor and 3D Face unlock .
The camera section of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition includes dual rear camera of 12 MP (f/1.8, 1/2.55″, 1.4µm, 4-axis OIS, dual-pixel PDAF) + 12 MP (f/2.4, 1/3.4″, 1.0µm), 2x optical zoom, dual pixel phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash and a front-facing camera of 20 MP with aperture f/2.0, 1.8µm.
Connectivity wise, it includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, Dual-frequency (L1+L5) GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C. It is powered by 300mAh with Quick Charge 4.
The users can get the device Xioami Mi 8 Explorer Edition only in 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version at 3699 yuan (US$ 577 / Rs. 39,000 approx.) from 5th June .
The fourth device Xiaomi Mi Band 3 features 0.78-inch OLED (128 x 80 pixels) display with scratch-resistant glass, anti-fingerprint coating shows time, step, heart rate, activities, weather, notifications. It has WhatsApp, Facebook or SMS messages, Weather info, caller ID and more. It weighs 8.5g (20g with band) ultra light body.
It has also 5ATM water proof so that the users can swim it with 50 meters under water. Ir comes with Photoplethysmography (PPG) / Heart rate sensor . It monitors the user’s fitness and shows the real-time data for running, cycling, walking, and other activities.
Connectivity wise, it includes Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC (Optional).It is powered by 110mAh Li Ion polymer battery with up to 20 days of standby.
The users can get the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 in Black color with bands in graphite black, hot orange and deep blue colors at 169 yuan (US$ 26 / Rs. 1,780 approx.) from 5th June. Its another NFC-enabled version costs 199 yuan (US$ 31 / Rs. 2,095 approx.) and will be available in September.
