Meizu 16s with in-display fingerprint sensor, up to 8GB RAM announced, Price starts at 3398 yuan (US$ 505)
After revealing on TENAA earlier of this month, the smartphone manufacturer Meizu finally announced the latest flagship smartphone Meizu 16s in China.
The smartphone Meizu 16s sports 6.2-inch Full HD+ 18.6:9 Super AMOLED display with the resolution of 1080 × 2232 pixels. It has 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB / 256GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage capacity. It has the dimension of 151.9×73.4×7.65mm; weighs 165g and has dual-SIM functionality. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner.
It is armed with Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 640 GPU and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with Flyme OS 8.
The camera section of the device Meizu 16s includes dual 48MP rear camera with LED flash, OIS, 1/2.25″ Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8um pixel size with ring LED flash, 20MP secondary telephoto camera with Sony IMX350 sensor and a front-facing camera of 20MP with Samsung 3T2 sensor.
Connectivity wise, it features Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 4×4 MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS (L1 + L5 dual band), USB Type-C and supports USB Type-C audio, Stereo speakers, built-in mEngine 3.0 gives more real and impressive vibration effect as well as 4D gaming experience. It is backed up by 3600mAh battery with 24W mCharge fast charging.
The users can get the device Meizu 16s in White, Carbon Black, and Phantom Blue colors.
The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version is priced at 3398 yuan (US$ 505 approx.), while the the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 3698 yuan (US$ 550 approx.) and the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version is priced at 4198 yuan (US$ 624 approx.).The company will start its sale in China from 28th April.
